Vice-Premier Dan Nica on Sunday asked the prefects to get more involved in finalizing the projects whose deadlines were not observed and warned that, because of the delays, funds risked being blocked.
He enumerated projects whose deadlines expired, projects meant to rehabilitate water cleaning stations and sewerage and supply networks or modernization of forest roads, with focus on the Counties of Buzau (southern Romania), Cluj (central Romania), Harghita (central Romania), Maramures (northern Romania), Mures (central Romania), Arges (southern Romania), Bistrita¬Nasaud (northern Romania), Botosani (north-eastern Romania), Caras-Severin (western Romania), Constanta (south-eastern Romania), Iasi (eastern Romania).
Dan Nica informed that he would send, every Thursday, the list of the projects that are delayed and asked the prefects to get involved in order to finalize them.
Premier Emil Boc and Minister of Regional Development and Housing Vasile Blaga also took part in the video-conference with the prefects on Sunday.
