Monica Belluci, Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave to shot film in Bucharest
Three first class actresses, Monica Bellucci, Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave will soon come to Romania to star in a film shot in the Media Pro studios of Buftea, near Bucharest, Gardianul daily reports.
The three actresses will star in the production The Whisstelblowers, directed by Larysa Kondracki, a young director and playwright from Ukraine. The film will be shot in several locations in Bucharest.
Rachel Weisz won an Oscar in 2006 for her role in The Constant Gardener. Vanessa Redgrave is an Oscar winning English actress of stage, film and television. She is a member of the Redgrave family, the world-renowned theatrical dynasty.
She is also a social activist for human rights and has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 1995. Monica Bellucci is an Italian actress considered seen as one of the most beautiful in the world. In 2003, Bellucci won the Nastro d’Argento Best Supporting Actress award for her portrayal of Alessia in Remember Me, My Love.
She has been nominated for several others, including the 1996 César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Lisa in L’Appartement. Acclaimed actors like Armand Assante, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Nicole Kidman and Jude Law came to Romania to shot various films, thanks to the low production costs.
