Ludic Student Theater to perform for Romania at Granada’s International Theater Festival

The Ludic Student Theater of the Iasi University (east) was selected to represent the Romanian student theater in the 3rd edition of the International Theater Festival of the University of Granada, on Nov 14-18, 2010, Ludic Theater officials inform.

The Iasi-based theater company will play Irish Poem for Violin and Soul, after Irish playwright John Kendrick, with Aurel Luca as stage director and Vera Pantea signing the scene painting. The show has been performed on several stages, worldwide and enjoyed remarkable success, the latest happening also in Spain at the International Theater Festival of Girona, Barcelona.

The young actors will represent the A.I, Cuza University of Iasi, Romania’s oldest university, which, on the occasion, celebrates 150 years since its foundation. The Ludic Student Theater of Iasi, with an activity longer than 30 years at the Culture House of the Students of Iasi is singular in the landscape of the Romanian youth theater, and it became well known in all continents, thanks to its performances. It is the first Romanian theater that joined the International Amateur Theater Association, and has already represented our country in more than 75 international festivals, and won over 300 trophies and diplomas.
