The Romanian National Post (CNPR) is to acquire, through operational leasing, a number of 724 vehicles in order to renew its auto fleet, the estimated value of the contract rising to approximately 25 million euros, according to data provided by CNPR to Rompres.
The necessary funds for this project are to be secured from own sources.
According to CNPR, the companies interested in taking part in the bidding can submit offers up to May 7, and the task books are available at the Romanian Commodities Market (BRM).
The acquisition is to be made according to the level provisions on public acquisition contracts and the contract is to span over a period of 48 months.
A number of 613 utility vehicles, van type, are to be bought and 114 automobiles, designed to fulfill the needs of the inter-county and regional transport, as well as of the residential distribution.
As well, the Romanian post is to sign in the upcoming period a consortium contract formed of HP Europe Finance and Romtelecom for the acquisition through operational leasing, as well, of some IT equipment for the post offices. The value of this contract amounts at 8.6 million euros.
CNPR is the national operator in the field of postal services, having at present 34,400 employees and a chain of more than 7,100 offices all over the country, of which 1,100 IT equipped. Company shareholders are the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Property Fund, with 75 percent and, respectively, 25 percent of the capital.
