Rompetrol Group is about to open in Dumbrava village, 15 km from Bacau (east) a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (GPL) station, as well as 11 mobile stations for the distribution of Expres type fuels in the county.
In value of more than 10 million dollars, the investment will have an annual production capacity of 20,000 tonnes of GPL and is to offer 50 new jobs.
This is the third GPL station inaugurated in Romania by Rompetrol, following similar investments that have become operational since last year in Navodari and Arad.
The opening of the Dumbrava station – Rompetrol CEO Dinu Patriciu told Rompres – "is to sustain the company’s objective to become an important player on GPL domestic market, in 2008".
He also estimated a turnover in this field in excess of 100 million dollars, "a surge by approximately 50 percent as against last year."
