A Romavia BAE 146 plane leased by CarpatAir with 60 passengers on board flying from Timisoara to Bucharest via Craiova overran the runway when landing on the International Airport Henri Coanda – Otopeni, because of the unfavourable weather conditions on Tuesday afternoon, director of Civil Aviation Department with Transport Ministry Catalin Radu told Rompres.
No passenger was injured.
The plane belongs to Romavia company, but it is operated under leasing by private company CarpatAir. While attempting to land, because of the strong wind and the wet runway, the plane overrun the track, but the none of the passengers was hurt. They were disembarked, while the Transport Ministry will investigate the incident with an inquiry commission.
