Premier Tariceanu speaks to businesspeople about economic performances of his termin office

Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, who was on April 17 in Buzau (south-eastern Romania), where he launched the Guide for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, several businesspeople attending, made a survey of Romania’s economic performances in the past four years and told people there that he wished to see the further consolidation of the Romanian capital.
He asked the entrepreneurs to develop their businesses in the region and urged them to invest in such countries as the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Hungary or in the Balkan ones.
The Prime Minister also referred to the flat tax, which he described as being a means that revived economy and made it more dynamic, adding that very many jobs appeared.
At the same time Calin Popescu-Tariceanu mentioned the fact that, as a result of the economic growth, there was an increase in the budget allocations in such important fields as health and education, making it clear that sums accounting for 6 percent of the GDP were allocated to the latter sector alone.
The Premier also asked the local authorities to bring the available manpower in the country to town, where there is a shortage in this respect.
In his speech the Head of Government insisted on combating the people who say that Romania did not have the necessary capacity to absorb European funds, specifying that, from this point of view, Romania had an experience that makes it hold one of the first places among the countries that recently joined the European Union.
