The European market can receive Romania’s food products, but Romania does not have such products for export at the moment, the Agriculture Minister Dacian Ciolos told Rompres on April 18.
"The demand for food products is on the rise, both on the European and international market, so there is a perspective for all the products. But we must produce quality products at competitive prices," said Ciolos while attending in Timisoara western city the opening of a wine exhibition.
The minister explained that technologies should be modernized so that Romanian products may reach the quality of European products.
"In the Rural Development Plan in the first month of project submitting, 700 of the 900 projects concern the modernization of agricultural exploitations, equipment with modern technologies and everything necessary to obtain higher quality at small prices," said Ciolos.
