As many as 730 firms from 19 countries took part in the 15th edition of Construct Expo Ambient construction fair, held May 21-25 at Romexpo Exhibition Complex in the Romanian capital, Romexpo’s director for the organization of fairs and exhibitions, Catalin Trifu told a news conference.
"450 firms from the total 730 exhibitors at Construct Expo were from Romania, with the remainder 270 being from Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, the United States, Turkey, Ukraine and Hungary.
They displayed their offer on 45,000 square meters”, Trifu explained.
The exhibition included a show of finishing products and systems, a show for interior decorations and one for outdoors facilities.
"Some 20 to 25 percent of the construction material market targets Bucharest. As also seen from the participation in Construct Expo Ambient, an increasingly higher number of foreign firms operate in the Romanian market. As regards the price for the construction materials, I can say it will develop depending on the development of the oil price, since the materials include energy at a rate of 30 percent”, chairman of the Association of the Romanian Construction Material Producers Claudiu Georgescu said.
At the same time with the Construct Expo Ambient fair, Romexpo hosted the 11th edition of an international exhibition of products, technologies, machinery and equipment for the industry of ceramics, glass and porcelain to be attended by 25 firms from Bulgaria, Italy, Britain and Romania.
