Atlas Corporation estimates that, in 2008, its turnover will grow by 40% compared to the previous year, when it attained 50.2 million euros, a most likely target because the first three months of the year brought a surge of 25% in sales, from the similar period in 2007.
Development manager of the company Dimitris Nikolakis announced on Thursday, in a press conference, that in the approximately 14 years of activity the firm "has grown in step with the Romanian economy" voicing optimism as for the future of the Romanian economy.
To this end, Atlas Corporation plans to account up to this year-end for 32% on the extrude polystyrene market and 15% on the washable dye, at present Apla brand being the third on the domestic washable dye market.
Atlas Corporation has a 14-year experience on the profile market and it is the sole producer in the field of construction materials in Romania, operating its own distribution chain nationwide through the ten branches located in Braila, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Constanta, Iasi, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Suceava and a show-room in the Capital.
Turnover reported by the company at the end of 2007 stood at 50.2 million euros and the sales of construction materials jumped by 55% from 2006.
Total investments since Atlas Corporation started business in Romania exceed 30 million euros.
