Businessman Horia Simu, President of Cuprom copper product company, could take over the main share package of CCCF Bucharest construction company.
Simu made an offer to participate with RON 50 million (€13.8 mln) in the share capital and to finance the company with RON 28.7 mln (€7.9 mln) as creditor.
"I made an offer to take over the majority share package of CCCF through Wagma Holdings Limited, whose only partner I am, but I cannot provide more details until May 29," said Simu, quoted by Business Standard.
CCCF Bucharest dominated the Romanian construction market until 2000, due to contracts with the Ministry of Transports, but company business has begun dropping since 2002, leaving the company with debts worth some €30 mln.
