Hame Romania, the local branch of the Czech Hame food maker plans to double its turnover over the coming 3-5 years, including acquisitions both in Romania and the neighboring countries.
Hame Romania scored a turnover worth 20 million euros in 2007 and expects it to grow by 20% in the least, during 2008. Hame will invest between 600,000 and 1 million euros in the production capacity of its factory in Caracal (south) bought in 2005. The Company decided to enlarge its portfolio putting out refrigerated products, a sector with a promising future on the local market.
The Iceland Nordic Partners Investment Fund took over the Czech Hame food maker this year, but this will not affect its activity in Romania. Hame Romania ranks second on the local pate market after having bought Antefrig, Company officials say.
