Alumil Milonas profits ups 20.1% in H1

Greek group Alumil Milonas which holds Alumil Rom Industry, the biggest company in Romania in the sector of supply and processing of aluminium profiles, announced on Aug. 28 a rising profit by 20.1% in H1 , 2008 compared to the first half year in 2007, allowing for sales higher by 2.3%.
The sales grew in the aforementioned period from 137.8 million euros to 141 million euros and gross profit went up from 31.3 million euros to 37.6 million euros, whereas Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 5.8% from 20.7 million euros to 21.9 million euros.
The gain per share went down slightly from 0.22 euros to 0.21 euros. The results are considered satisfactory by the company's manager, allowing for the economic conditions between Greece and the European Union.
The group's investments reached 6.6 million euros and mainly focused on the modernization of installations and the acquisition of new equipment in the production facilities in Kilkis, Xanthi, Komotini (Greece), Serbia, Albania and Romania.
