Tarom increases investment budget to 170,000 lei

Investment budget of national airline Tarom has been raised to 170,142 lei, reads a Government Decision on the revision of the company's budget.
Investment will be financed from foreign banking loans, worth 85,579 lei, to which own sources, worth 84,563 lei, are added.
Under a programme for the company's redressing, Tarom intends to transport 1.8 million passengers in 2008, with an annual increase of over 15%, while its operational profit should stand at nine million dollars.

Tarom has flights to the following destinations abroad: Vienna, Paris, Larnaca, Munich, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, Budapest, London, Athens, Thessaloniki, Chisinau, Prague, Warsaw, Moscow, Istanbul, Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Tel Aviv, Cairo and Dubai. Most departures are from Henri Coanda airport in Bucharest, as well as from the airports in Constanta, south-east, Timisoara, west, Cluj, center-west and Sibiu, center.
Along with the four Airbus A 318 planes bought recently, Tarom now has a fleet of 20 planes,including i.e. five Boeings 737 – 300, four Boeings 737-700 and seven ATR 42 –  500 planes.
