Turnover of trade with cars to increase 31% in Q3

Turnover in sales of cars will rise 31% in Q3 2008 from the same period last year, and the sales of fuel will register a 27% advance in value, read data in a research of the National Prognosis Commission (CNP).
In all, the turnover in wholesale and retail for cars and motorbikes, including their maintainance and repair as well as the retail of fuels for cars is expected to increase 28% in the said period.
In the first nine months this year, CNP estimates for the said segment a rise of around 29% compared with the same period in 2007, vs the 31.5% increase for the same period in 2007, compared with 2006.

In Q2 2008, the turnover in the trade with cars and motorbikes and that of fuels for cars advanced 25.6%, compared with the same period in 2007, supported by the pace in sales of cars and motorbikes (up 28.7%). In H1, the rise in turnover stood at 28.5%, the rise in the sales of cars and motorbikes stood at 34.4%.
The turnover in retail, with the exception of sales of cars and motorbikes, is estimated to rise 10.5% in Q3 2008, compared with the same period in 2007, in H2 the increase stood at 16%, that for non-foods at 18.9%.
