ProCredit Bank ends H1 with 250,000 euros

ProCredit Bank ended H1 of 2008 with 250,000 euros in profit, the company's operational revenues going up 44% as against the same period in 2007.
The banks' total assets reached 308 million euros, reads ProCredit.
With a portfolio of over 100,000 active customers as against the same period of last year, the value of funds drawn from customers stood at some 174 million euros.
At the end of June 2008, the portfolio of credits encompasses 44,000 loans, with 235 million euros in volume, that is a growth of 21% upon the number of loans, compared to June 2007.
A solid result was reported by the bank in the extention of the agricultural loans. In the first six months of the year, ProCredit Bank extended more than 4,000 loans to farmers and companies with activities in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the portfolio of incumbent loans for the agricultural sector reached 40 million euros in volume.

''The fourth lucrative year and the rises reported by ProCredit Bank prove the bank's stability on the market. More than that, the growth in the segment drawn from customers shows once again that the bank is focusing on the building and encouragement of a culture of saving and providing services and products responsibly. In the future also we'll focus on providing our customers a range of simple products, easy to understand and of high quality,'' said Michael Kowalski, general manager of the bank.
