Prices of industrial production go up 1% in July

The prices of the industrial production in total (domestic and foreign market) reported a 1% rise in July compared to the previous month and by 20.3% as against July 2007, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to sectors of activity, the prices of products of the extractive industry reported a 2.1% rise and the processing industry and electricity, heating, natural gas and water grew 0.7%, respectively 2.7%.
 
According to big industrial groups, rise in prices above the level registered per total has products of the energy field (1.5%) and the industry of intermediary products (1.1%). Price rises below the level registered per total were reported for the fast moving consumer goods (0.8%) and the industry of capital goods (0.5%. Prices cuts were reported by durable goods (minus 0.4%).
 
Compared to July one year ago, the most dynamic sector was the processing industry (price rises of 23.2%). Price rises below the level registered per total were in the extractive industry (16%) and electricity and heating, natural gas and water (5.5%).
 
According to big industrial groups, significant price rises were registered as regards the products of intermediary goods (23.6%) and energy industry (22.5%). Price rises below the level registered in total occurred for the products of the industry of fast moving consumer goods (17.1%), the industry of capital goods (13.7%) and the industry of durable goods (11.6%).
