European experts to inspect knackery services in five Romanian counties

Experts of the European Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) will be inspecting the knackery services in five Romanian counties for five days, Chairman of the Romanian National Animal Health and Food Security Authority (ANSVSA) Radu Roatis told on Sept. 1.
“This is an official control of animal sub-products, part of an annual inspection schedule. European Community experts will be inspecting facilities, slaughterhouses, farms and the lessees of knackery services,” said Roatis.
The counties included in the inspection are Brasov, Neamt, Bacau, and Ilfov, and Bucharest City.
According to the ANSVSA chairman, the report of the inspecting experts will be posted on the European Commission web site 25 days after the control is over.
