UBM opens logistic centre of 30 million euro in Bucharest

Austrian property developer UBM has opened its first logistic and light industry centre in Romania, in Bucharest, worth some 30 million euro, reads a company’s release.
The logistic centre – Chitila Logistic Park – has a total area of 45,000 sqm for industrial spaces and offices.
The centre was built in partnership with the Romanian real estate firm Metropola Imobiliar.
 
The first phase of the project, which comprises an area of 16,000 sqm, is leased out and derives annual revenue of some 1 million euro. Schenker, RTC and Montero are among the companies that rented spaces there.
The second phase of the project, which will total 25,000 sqm, is rented 50%. The area left available will be delivered in Q2 2009.
At present, UBM develops a series of projects that include hotels, shopping centres, business and industrial parks. The group develops, leases out and sells properties especially in Central and Eastern Europe.
