Dacia Sandero Diesel, on French market

The Dacia Sandero was launched on is September 12 on the French market in a version with Diesel engine of 1.5 liters, of 70 and 85 PH respectively, for prices between 10,500 and 13,000 euros, French car builder Renault, Dacia’s owner, announced on Friday.
Sandero will be marketed in France in three versions, namely Ambiance, Laureate and Prestige, (the cheapest version, called also Sandero will not be on that market), the car can be bought with 3 year guarantee, or 100,000 km, like in most European markets where it will continue to be launched.

According to Renault, Dacia Sandero model with Diesel engine of 1.5 liters, of 70 and 85 PH, will be gradually introduced in all the countries where the car is marketed, namely in Europe, Turkey, and the Maghreb countries (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia).
Sandero, the fifth Dacia model, is marketed in Romania as of the first half of June 2008, for prices between 6,890 euros and 9,850 euros (VAT included).
The new model benefits in Romania from a 3 year guarantee or 100,000 km, and revisions can be made after every 20,000 km.
Sandero is the only car in the market sold for this price with an ABS system. It is also equipped with a system of assistance for emergency braking and driver airbag.
Dacia expects the sales rising pace at global level in H 1 this year to be kept also in H2, it estimates a rise of 13% in the volume of sales in 2008, from 2007, Dacia’s trade manager Jacques Daniel said.
Sales of Dacia cars at global level stood at 127,276 units in H1, up 13.3% from the same period in 2007, when 112,365 units were sold, the growth was the highest for the Renault group, which reported global growth of 4.3%.
Production of the plant at Mioveni, Arges County, southern Romania, will stand this year at 350,000-400,000 units, and two thirds of them will go to export.
