As much as 620 mln. euros invested in two mountain resorts

Romanian business people announced investment projects which total 620 million euros for the construction of new tourist resorts on Prahova Valley (south Romania), weekly Capital reports.
At Secaria, 60 km from Ploiesti and 8 km from Comarnic, on an area of almost 70 ha, businessman Florin Anghel aims to build from scratch a tourist resort.
‘’Secaria will become an alternative to the resorts situated in Prahova Valley. The area on which we’ll build represents about a third of the town land belonging to Sinaia or Busteni,’’ said Anghel.
The overall investment amounts to 120 million euros. About 20-25% of investments will come from own sources and the remaining from banking loans.
‘’The first stage, that will be finalized in 2010 will cost some 30 million euros and will include 4 star hotel, a 3 star hotel and a 2 star hotel, 8 boarding houses, a sports complex and 70 holiday houses. Besides, the infrastructure will be completed: roads, water, sewerage, gas, electricity and telecommunications,’’ said the Romanian businessman.
„The first stage will unfold on as fifth of the land. This month we start the works for the organization of the building site and of the land. We’ll continue this year with infrastructure and in spring we’ll build the hotels and the assembly of the holiday houses,’’ said Anghel.

In total, tourist resort Secaria will have 378 holiday houses, each with an area ranging between 700 and 1,200 square metres. There will be 143 one-floor villas and 235 two and 3 floor villas. The biggest hotel of Secara will have 70 rooms and the boarding houses will have 20 rooms each.
The houses will be built on stratified wood structures produced in the plants belonging to the group of companies Fibec in which Florin Anghel holds a third of the shares.
Besides hotels, boarding houses, sports complexes and holiday houses, the plans for Secaria include the construction of five blocks of flats and an Orthodox church.
The new resort will also have commercial spaces. The construction of a swimming pool and a skating rink is set to be constructed in 10 years.
Another project on Prahova Valley, Silver Mountain, worth over 500 million euros belongs to businessman Dan Fischer.
The complex will be located at 12 km from Brasov (center) near Poiana Brasov and will have a heliport, the company of brokers of real estate loans CreditLink informs on its web page.
The works will be finalized in 2012-2014. The first stage of the project will be carried out in 2010, when the hotel and golf course will be commissioned. They will stretch on an area of 44 ha, built on a plot of land provided by local authorities that, in this way, hold 40% of the project.
According to the initial project, company INR Management Real Estate will build a leisure complex with 612 apartments, 15 luxury villas, a golf course with 18 holes and 5 tennis courts.
The developer signed a contract with Rezidor, one of the world’s first five hotel companies, therefore a Radisson SAS hotel is to be built in Silver Mountain with an overall capacity of 184 rooms.
The first development stage, including 100 apartments, is scheduled to be carried out this winter, reads the same source.
