Romania has no problems with natural gas supply

Romania has no problems with the natural gas supply, said Minister of Economy Adriean Videanu after a meeting on Saturday (Jan 3) with people in charge of this field.
"The meeting today has not been generated by any kind of emergency connected to ensuring the gas supply to Romania. It has been an informal meeting for us to have all the data related to the next period of time. Please do not make any kind of speculations as there are no kind of problems," said the Minister of Economy.
Manager of the commercial delivery head office of Transgaz Marius Stroia assured in his turn there were no problems in the Romanian sector of natural gas.
"I want to inform the public opinion that we have no kind of problems even if we were notified by the Balkan head office of Gazprom in connection with the reduction, by January 11, at Isaccea (south-eastern Romania), by 3.1 million cubic metres of the total of 7.1 million cubic metres, the quantity that we normally import. We have absolutely no kind of problems. We have both reserves being exploited and stored by Romgaz, so that we have absolutely no problem," said Storia.
"The people working with Petrom assured us that, on Monday, they would close down the Doljchim Combine, which consumes 1.2 million cubic metres of gas a day, and thus about another million of cubic metres of gas will be used for other purposes. The parameters of the national pressure and flow system are in keeping with the request made by the transport users," said Marius Stroia.
