Stock exchange indicators to have their shares changed in 2009

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) set new shares or rates to be held by the listed companies in the structure of the stock exchange indicators, with such shares to be enforced from Monday (Jan 5).
According to the BVB Web site, the largest share in the new structure of the BET index is held by BRD at 19.94%, followed by Banca Transilvania with 19.74%, Petrom with 19.46%, Transgaz with 14.6%, Transelectrica with 8.35%, Rompetrol Rafinare with 7.85%, Biofarm with 3.66%, Antibiotice with 3.25%, Impact with 1.97% and Broker Cluj with 1.18%.
 
SIF4 Muntenia accounts for 28.21% of the BET-FI index, SIF5 Oltenia accounts for 20.11%, SIF1 Banat Crisana for 17.89%, SIF2 Moldova for 16.92% and SIF3 Transilvania for 16.87%.
The highest shares in the general structure of the BVB BET-C index are held by BRD with 19.97%, Petrom with 19.93%, Banca Transilvania with 17.65% and Alro Slatina with 6.53%.
In mid-December, the BVB Committee on indicators decided that the structure of the indicators stay unchanged, and to adjust, from January, only the rates held by each issuant in the index structure.
 
Petrom accounts for 29.7% of the BET-NG index that includes the energy companies, being followed by Transgaz with 28.22%; as regards the BET-XT index that includes the top-25 liquid listed companies, the SIFs included, the highest share will be held by BRD at 14.87%, followed by Petrom at 14.84% and Banca Transilvania at 14.72%.
 
The BET index (Bucharest Exchange Trading Index) was launched in September 1997 with a starting value of 1,000 points, being the first stock exchange index developed by the BVB. BET seeks to offer the investors and the public a synthetic image of the evolution of the quotations of the 10 most liquid shares admitted to trading on the regulated market managed by the BVB (except for the SIF shares).
 
BET is a price index tempered by the captialisation of the free float of the companies that make it up. Each stock exchange symbol cannot account for more than 20% of the BET index.
The Bucharest Exchange Trading Composite Index or BET-C was launched in April 1998, with a starting value of 1,000 points and it shows an overall image of the evolution of the quotations of all the shares admitted to trading on the regulated market managed by the BVB (except for the SIF shares).
 
The Bucharest Exchange Trading Investment Funds Index or BET-FI was launched in October 2000, with a starting value of 1,000 points, being the first stock exchange sectoral index developed by the BVB; it shows the evolution of the quotations of the financial investment companies' (SIF) stock.
