Yellow Code meteorological alert in 18 counties

National Meteorology Administration (ANM) on Thursday issued a Yellow Code meteorological alert for 18 prefect's offices in the country, with the phenomena announced having been snowfalls and wind intensifications over January 29, 10 pm – January 31, 2 pm, local hour, reads a release of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
Warned were the Bacau, Buzau, Braila, Botosani, Calarasi, Constanta, Galati, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Iasi, Ilfov, Neamt, Prahova, Suceava, Tulcea, Vaslui and Vrancea (counties in southeastern Romania) and Bucharest.
Thus, the snowfalls will be seen in eastern and southeastern Romania, with the wind to temporarily intensify in these regions up to blowing at 60-70 km per hour, causing snowstorms.
The snowfalls will be significant in certain areas, but with the wind to stay moderate in general.
Yellow Code means that the abovesaid meteorological phenomena (downfalls, electric discharge, wind intensifications, high temperatures) are natural to the respective region, but they still can be dangerous for certain activities. One of the possible risk is river flowing.
