Romania will take part between May 5 and 8 in the international tourism fair Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, according to a press release issued by the Tourism Ministry.
The Romanian presence in this fair is organized by the Ministry of Tourism and received a surface of 76 square meters.
Attending the Arabian Travel Market at the 2008 edition were 372 main exhibitors, 1,857 co- exhibitors and 14,046 visitors.
Romanian Tourism Minister Elena Udrea will attend the opening of the exhibition, to be held on Tuesday, hosted by sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates.
„We are attending this fair to bring tourists to Romania, but mostly to meet with potential investors from the Arab world. Romanian tourism needs capital inflow and know-how, and in the countries I am visiting there could be businesspeople interested in investing in Romania,” Minister Elena Udrea said.
During her visit to Dubai, Elena Udrea will also meet sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, head of the Authority for the Development of Commerce and Tourism in the Sharjah Emirate, Ahmed Mohammd Al Midfa, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sharjah, Hamad M. Baumin, general director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sharjah, as well as the heads of the authorities for the development of tourism in the Dubai emirate, Abu Dhabi Emirate respectively.
