Dacia sales in first four months, on the decrease

The sales of Dacia cars in France went down 9 percent in the first four months of 2009 against the same period of 2008, reads a release issued by Renault.

3,580 new Dacia cars were registered in France in April, of which over 1,700 were the Sandero version. Sandero has been highly successful ever since the launch of the GPL version this March.

Also in the first for months the French purchased 551 Dacia utility vehicles, with a market share of 2 percent.

The total sales of the Reanult group went down 6.3 percent in April, from 41.93 2 units in the same period of 2008 to 39,287 units.
France is the second largest European market for the Dacia sales.
