Bucharest-Ploiesti motorway will be carried out in July 2010 and will connect Bucharest’ ring road with Ploiesti, said on Tuesday Transport Minister Radu Berceanu.
The Motorway will be ready in July 2010, less than 7 kilometers. The problem is that there are no possibilities of taking over traffic from the motorway to the capital. We reach Bucharest on three lanes and all the traffic goes to three little streets in the capital, said Berceanu.
Berceanu said after the visit to the building site of the Bucharest-Ploiesti motorway that in 2009 the budget for motorway amounts to 410 million lei, of which 322 million lei have already been paid by constructors, so that they finish works in due time.
PM Emil Boc said that for assuring the necessary funds for the completion of the project the authorities might resort to the financing package concluded with the International Momentary Fund and the European Union.
Working on the Bucharest-Ploiesti motorway Italian company Pizarotti on the segment Bucharest – Moara Vlasiei (19.5 km) and the association Spedition UMB – PA & CO International – Euroconstruct Trading in the segment Moara Vlasiei – Ploiesti (42 kilometers).
