PM Emil Boc on Wednesday said that the Government will try through an extremely prudent and poised financial policy to hamper Romania’s sanctioning by the European Commission following the initiation of the excessive deficit procedure for Romania.
‘I wouldn’t have wanted this. I believe no Romanian is glad that Romania has to pay for the incompetence of liberals of 2008.
The Gov’t has to do all in its power to limit the budget deficit, in order to avoid sanctions targeting Romania, because the main consequence of the liberal disaster is Romania’s possibility to lose European funds and of be sanctioned several billion of euros,’ said PM Emil Boc.
Boc said that the Government would try to avoid the consequences of the initiation on Wednesday of the excessive deficit procedure by the European Commission by a prudent and balanced policy from a financial viewpoint in 2009.
