Poland backs Romania as regards Nabucco project

Poland wants to cooperate with Romania in Black Sea matters, mainly in integrating the EU power systems and supports alternative transit routes such as Nabucco, Marshal of the Polish Sejm Bronislaw Komorowski said Wednesday on the occasion of a meeting with Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase.

The two agreed to intensify the parliamentary dialogue through regular meetings.

The two officials have voiced appreciation at the boosted dialogue between Romania and Poland , confirmed by the strategic partnership between the two countries and decided to strengthen cooperation.

Anastase pointed out the countries’ joint interests as regards the foreign policy matters. She reiterated Romania’s support for the eastern partnership as means to offer a European perspective to the countries neighboring the EU.

Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase has underlined the fact that Romania backs Moldova’s bid for the EU and that any sensitive issue in the Romanian-Moldovan relation will be approached only at bilateral level.
