Romanian Liberal in ELSN Bureau

Nicoleta Nicolescu an international officer of the Liberal Students Clubs (CSL) of Romania and a member of the National Liberal Youth (TNL) office of Calarasi County (southern Romania) was elected, in Rome, a member of the European Liberal Students Network (ELSN).

The first ELSN Bureau numbering four members namely Nicoleta Nicolescu (CSL Romania), Philipp J. Karstaedt (LHG Germany), Patrick Krassen (L.S, Sweden) and Brunno Teirlynck (FEL Belgium) set up, during the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) Congress, taking place in Rome over May 8-10.

During the Congress, ELSN also adopted a motion asking the introduction of a minimal single criterion for the European Union (EU) regarding services for students, such as accommodation, transport, scholarships.

‘Getting the position is very important both for the Romanian Liberal student clubs and the Liberals from Calarasi, showing the commitment of the Liberal students to the international political activity,’ Nicolescu stressed.

ELSN is the structure of the European Liberal students and its main goals are the strengthening of the relations among the Liberal students and Europe’s Liberal students organizations, the promotion of the Liberal tenets in the higher education and in the polices regarding the student environment.
