After the meeting of the ruling coalition’s Central Coordinating Political Bureau, PD-L vice- president George Flutur said that consultations on the two projects will be held in the next two weeks with civil society representatives.
‘Minister Victor Ponta and Daniel Buda [head of the select subcommittee on the Civil Code – Ed. Note] were mandated to establish a consultation timetable for these codes to receive the latest observations.
In early June, the government will assume responsibility for the two documents,’ explained the PD-L vice-president.
Flutur said that a timetable is also in place for the Civil procedure and Criminal procedure Codes and efforts are made for them to be completed towards end-June.
According to Flutur, the officials responsible for the procedure codes completion schedule are yet again Victor Ponta and Daniel Buda, who chair the parliamentary sub-committees in charge.
Ponta and Flutur will convene a press conference to present the timetable of the government’s assuming responsibility for the draft Civil and Criminal Codes, Flutur informed.
