Economy Minister Adriean Videanu will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation, on May 20-21, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The agenda of the visit schedules meetings with Energy Minister Sergey Smatko, Minister of Education and Science Andrei Fursenko, the president of the Russian party in the Intergovernmental Romanian Russian Commission for Economic and Technical and Scientific Cooperation and Gazprom officials.
The Romanian economy minister’s visit to Moscow is aimed at laying the groundwork for the coming session of the Joint Romanian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. On this special occasion, Videanu and Smatko will analyze the stage the cooperation projects have reached in the energy field and the required moves for their implementation.
Also part of the delegation accompanying Videanu are officials of the Economy Ministry, the Ministry of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, the Ministry of Commerce and Business Environment, as well as of the Romanian energy suppliers Romgaz, Transgaz and Transelectrica.
