Puscas: Elimination of justice monitoring must be result of reform
Elimination of the mechanism of cooperation and verification in the field of justice, set up by the European Commission (EC), must be the result of the positive evolution of the justice system reform in Romania, stated on Wednesday Minister Vasile Puscas, head of the European Affairs Department (DAE), during a meeting held in Bucharest with German Ambassador Rolf Mafael, responsible for Relations with European Union (EU) Member States in the Federal Foreign Affairs Office.
„The rule of law has to be functional in Romania. It is an obligation that in our country an efficient justice system exists both for the Romanian citizens and for all European citizens”, underlined Minister Puscas, DAE informs in a release.
According to the quoted source, the European Affairs Minister has invited the German side to support Romania in identifying good practices in the field of structural funds use and the application of European policies at central and local levels.
Minister Vasile Puscas and German Ambassador Rolf Mafael have established during the talks to intensify the Romanian-German cooperation in the field of European affairs.
