Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) has placed on Thursday an issue of three-year maturity benchmark Treasury bills, drawing 639.17 million lei (some 148.64 million euros, editor’s note) from the market, at an average profitability rate of 11.05 percent per year, according to data released by Romania’s National Bank (BNR).
The T-bills issue was in the total value of 500 million lei, and the coupon rate is 11.25
percent. Total banks’ offer stood at 1.014 billion lei. The nominal value of a benchmark T-bill is 10,000 lei.
12 primary dealers submitted bids in this auction – Alpha Bank Romania, BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), Transilvania Bank, Bancpost, Citibank Romania, Savings Bank (CEC), ING, MKB Romexterra, Raiffeisen Bank, RBS Bank Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
