Candidate of the National Liberal Party (PNL, in opposition) to Euro-parliamentary elections Ramona Mane scu stated on Saturday, in Constanta, that she is seeking a new EMP mandate in order to continue her projects in fields such as education and regional development.
„In our country, the Danube and Constanta Port play an important part in the regional development process, by facilitating the transport and trade between the Black Sea and Western Europe.
Therefore, two important projects I am promoting in the European Parliament could turn Romanian into the Logistical Corridor of Central and Eastern Europe – Constanta Port development as an eastern access way for the EU and the development of logistical points in Romania which would form the Logistical Corridor of the Central and Eastern Europe”, pointed out in a press conference, the Liberal EMP.
Ramona Manescu also reminded that during her current EMP mandate she was conferred the „Euro MP of Year 2008” award in education and culture category.
As for the current electoral campaign, PNL EMP underlined she had met people in rural and urban areas, who said they were expecting the European Parliament’s support.
Manescu also said that during her EP mandate she carried out a very beneficial dialogue with the local authorities on providing them support for the implementation of the submitted projects for structural funds accession, so that the people succeeded to receive the needed funds and have launched their projects.
