The FADERE federation of Romanian associations from Europe asks for the change of the legislations regarding the release of the identity documents for the Romanians living abroad.
According to a release of FADERE, sent on Sunday, a FADERE delegation will come to Bucharest to have a series of consultations with political people in Romania, on May 25 and 26.
On this occasion, the delegation will ask the Senate Chairman Mircea Geoana, the Chamber of Deputies’ Speaker Roberta Anastase and president Traian Basescu to change the law regarding the release of the identity documents for the Romanians living abroad.
„We wish the law to be altered so that the link between the Romanian Interior Ministry, which is in charge of releasing these documents, and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, which the Romanian consulates belong to, to be eased”, the press release reads.
FADERE says that most of the Romanians abroad are being prejudiced by the deficiency of this law and ask the Romanian authorities to take action.
