A delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, headed by director for the European defence policy with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Adam Sambrook has paid on Thursday a working visit to Bucharest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs in a release.
The visit’s programme included talks with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with representatives of the Ministry of National Defence, as well as talks with representatives of the Ministry of Administration and Interior.
The visit has offered a special occasion for highlighting Romania and Great Britain contributions at the level of the North Atlantic Alliance and of the European Policy of Security and Defence in the context of a dynamic and complex international security environment, says the release.
At the same time the two sides have examined the developments at conceptual level both inside the NATO and the European Union, and current aspects related to NATO and the EU operations.
Participants in these talks have also approached topics included on the bilateral agenda, and the relevant evolutions at security level in South East Europe and in the Black Sea enlarged region.
The visit is part of a series of bilateral consultations on current topics on the international agenda MAE organizes steadily with Romania’s allies and partners in the Euro-Atlantic Space.
