Uranium National Company investments, up to 86.2 mln euros

Investments projects of the Uranium National Company SA attain the value of 86.2 million euros, according to information released by the Ministry of Economy.

A proposed new discharge of waste-residual-water in Brasov (center) is in the value of 6.3 million euros. Works started in the last quarters of 2008 and the finalization is estimated in a 24- month period.

As well, the company is to conduct a feasibility study for the opening of a new storage place in the Eastern Carpathians, with an estimated value of 75 million euros, of which 25 million euros from own sources.
The project is to be launched in the second quarter of 2010 and the finalization ie estimated in a 60-month period.

Construction works at Feldioara plant, in Brasov, the company started in 2006, could be completed in 2009. Their value is of 600,000 euros.
The value of the project of rehabilitation and upgrading of the plant in Feldioara amounts to 1.7 million euros and the works could be completed in the last quarter of 2010.

The second phase of works at the mines in Suceava (north) will cost approximately 2.6 million euros. They are expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2010.

At the end of 2008, the Uranium National Company posted a share capital of 30.37 million euros and a programmed turnover of 132.51 million lei.
