Nita: PD-L is not interested in PSD’s proposals for economic recovery

Vice-President of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Minister of SMEs, Trade and Business Environment Constantin Nita on Sunday told a press conference about the lack of interest showed by the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L) (the two parties are co-ruling) towards the PSD’s proposals for economic recovery.

Constantin Nita stated that more than a month and a half ago the PSD presented to its colleagues in the governing coalition a programme of 24 objectives to help in the fight against the economic crisis, such as the setting up of a national housing fund, the elimination of the tax on reinvested profit, the increased support to be given to the agriculture sector etc.

The PSD Vice-President specified that this package of measures was to be discussed during the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) too.

He also added that a team was indeed set up within the Coalition to debate on these measures, but that the team only had one meeting, because of the total lack of interest showed by the representatives of the PD-L.
