IMF is concerned for financial situation of state owned companies

The representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are concerned for the financial situation of some state owned companies, said head of the delegation of the International Monetary Fund Jeffrey Franks on Monday.

We are still concerned for the financial conditions in some state owned companies.

We have also agreed on additional efforts to be made in order to be able to ensure their better monitoring, especially of the ones with losses or important arrears, said Jefrrey Franks.

The IMF delegation presents the conclusions of the first assessment of the stand-by agreement with Romania.

The IMF mission headed by Jeffrey Franks came to Bucharest on July 29 to assess the observance of the macroeconomic targets put down in the agreement and the granting of the second tranche of the loan, amounting to about 1.9 billion euros.
