He said that the Premier announcement, according to which the Government is to assume responsibility over the education law package on Septembrie 2 is not in agreement with PSD, and that the „public opinion was misinformed”.
Social Democrats solely agreed with responsibility assuming over the law dealing with the public sector unitary pay, the law on governmental agencies restructuring and reduction of expenses and the law on collecting both pension from the public system and Govt. paid wage, explained Geoana.
PSD leader pointed out that the party’s National Standing Bureau received the final form of the Education Code draft and is in favor of its accelerated debate with all involved social and political factors, this being PSD decision and not the one related to responsibility assuming by the Government.
According to Geoana, PSD supports the decentralization laws with the deadline on October 1, and the ruling coalition debated in its meeting some social issues, but the party did not accept the proposal referring to the Govt. assuming responsibility over the education laws.
