Magistrates insist on bonus payments, Govt. says no money available
„Talks referred both to the overdue bonuses issue, given through judicial decisions, and on the current ones. At the same time, the Government informed CSM representatives on the actual situation of the state budget resources.
CSM Justice representatives insisted on the payment of these bonuses and their inclusion in the future single salary scale, and the Government, open to dialogue, laid the accent upon the fact that currently there are no needed financial resources to meet these demands”, says the release.
At the same time, participants in the meeting convened that talks can continue in order to get ready the new salary law for the public sector employees.
President Traian Basescu held on Friday, at Cotroceni Palace, a second round of talks with Justice representatives and those of the Government within the mediation urged by the Chairman of the Upper Magistracy Council and the Minister of Justice and Citizens Freedoms, between the judicial power and the Government on the topic of bonuses in the judiciary system.
Within talks, alongside the issue of bonuses, CSM representatives approached other issues as resulted from the magistrates’ general assemblies, but they were not debated on Friday, going to be discussed after the adoption of the single pay law in the public sector.
Attending the head of state’s mediation were present: Chairman of the Upper Magistracy Council Virgil Andreies, Vice-president of CSM Bogdan Licu, Minister of Justice and Citizens Freedoms Catalin Predoiu, Minister of Public Finances Gheorghe Pogea, State secretary with the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Protection Valentin Mocanu, as well as CSM members Anton Pandrea, Dan Lupascu and Liviu Dascalescu.
