Global Forum 2009, the most important event at world level in the IT&C field will bring together, Oct 19-20, 2009, at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, experts and representatives at high level of the entire world.
At its 18th edition now, Global Forum offers a good framework for high level debates, at international level, of the solutions and applications in the field of IT&C, in the context of the economic, political and social economic situation.
The themes approached during the previous editions included the promotion of the digital economy, the integration of the IT-C solutions in the services for the communities, the information and innovation at the basis of a competitive society.
The event, hosted so far by the US, France, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Britain or Japan, will bring together in Bucharest, already confirmed representatives of the European Commission, EU, the Federal Commission of Trade of the US, the Federal Commission of Communications of China, the Ministry of Interior and Communications of Japan and many representatives of the governmental administrations and the local authorities in all the corners of the world.
The main topics to be debated represent the most important themes of the current society, such as the reform of the economy at world level, the boosting of the implementation of IT&C of China, the Ministry of the Interior and Communications (USA), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (USA), the Ministry of the Industry of IT&C of Japan and many representatives of the governmental administrations and the local authorities from all the corners of the world.
The main topics under debate represent the most important subjects of the current society, such as the reform of the economy at world level, the stimulation of the implementation of IT&C in fields of activity at public and private level, in order to support the economic growth of the world societies, the redefinition of the dialogue between the state and it citizens by modern means of electronic communication, the concepts of e-governing and e-administration, innovation and the progress in the field, the future of the IT and its impact on the general organization of society.

It is only in this way that we can change the Romanian society in one based on knowledge and competitiveness,” said Gabriel Sandu, minister of IT&C.
Called „the Davos of IT”, after the prestigious event in Switzerland, Global Forum brought together, in 2008, at its 17th edition, participants from over 40 countries.
