He announced that the low salaries will grow at a fast pace over 2010-2015 and the salary benefits will account for no more than 30 percent of the pay, the government said in a press release on Tuesday.
‘There will be 78 percent rise in the health care sector, 90 percent in the pre-higher education sector, a 68 percent rise for the public workers. We have also done all we could for the judiciary so that they may be treated as an equal state power alongside the executive and the legislative power’, Boc stressed.
The prime minister explained that the drawing up of the draft law on a unitary salary in the public sector took into account the requests, remarks and principles expressed by the union leaders and also the budget constraints set by the need to meet the macroeconomic indicators negotiated under the agreements that Romania closed with the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission.
‘Each professional group is very important for Romania and for each one we should find the solution to place them fairly on the unitary salary scale’, the prime minister said.
