The behaviour of the Tourism minister Elena Udrea is beyond any limit of good sense, being an attack to the parliamentary institution, said, on Tuesday, Liberal Ludovic Orban, head of the parliamentary committee of inquiry regarding the expenses at the Ministry of Tourism.

With reference to the legality of the committee, Orban mentioned that it was decided by the plenum of the Chamber of Deputies, in line with the provisions of the Constitution.

Tourism minister Elena Udrea believes that the activity of the parliamentary committee of inquiry regarding the expenses of the Tourism Ministry is running illegally and she said she will notify in this respect the Standing Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies.

„We have nothing to hide, but we have to take into account the fact that this committee works illegally.

I cannot go in front of this committee. We are waiting until tomorrow (Wednesday, e.n.) an answer of the committee in this respect, and if I receive no answer I am writing to the standing bureau of the Chamber of Deputies.

„There is nothing we want to hide, but we have to pay attention to the fact that this committee works illegally. I cannot go in front of this committee, said Elena Udrea on Tuesday, at the hearings at the parliamentary inquiry forum.

The Tourism minister said that the parliamentary forum does not meet the legal number of members, 15 respectively, and does not go beyond its prerogatives. So, said the minister,”I will go in front of any committee working legally.”

The Tourism minister declined to answer the questions of the committee and went out of the meeting hall for the second time.
