The Romanian top diplomat and his Polish counterpart, Radoslav Sikorski, attended, as main speakers, a round table on „A step forward through the Eastern Partnership: challenges and opportunities,” organized by the International Institute for Research in the field of peace in Stockholm, announced the Romanian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, MAE.
Twenty years ago, Romania, Poland and other European nations benefited from the support, attention and assistance of the Western community.
Now, it is our turn to make a step forward, to continue the process and grant our Eastern partners our entire support,” said minister Cristian Diaconescu.
The debate was led by the first rank research center SIPRI, Bates Gilles.
Attending were high officials, like Frank Belfrage, secretary of state for foreign affairs Goran Lennmarker, head of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Swedish Parliament, Swedish MPs and representatives of the Swedish government, ambassadors, representatives of the research institutes in Stockholm, journalists.
