The inhabitants of Covasna resort (north-west of Bucharest) prepared on Friday afternoon a record long ice cream roll, of 111 metres and weighing almost 250 kg.
The vanilla and chocolate ice cream was placed on a long row of tables in the center of Covasna and after the registration of the record it was served to all the people who were present.
Attending the ceremony was also Tourism Minister Elena Udrea who praised the dwellers of Covasna for knowing how to organize gastronomical events in order to draw tourists and promote the local cuisine.
Last year, the dwellers of Covasna prepared an 101-metre long ice cream roll.
Over the past years Covasna prepared numerous huge food specialties, such as a giant 500 litre bean goulash, a 151-metre long baked polenta with melted cheese, a 1,100 litre sour trout soup and 300 litres of lemonade.
