„We reject nothing from the start and every solution set to improve (the law – editor’s note) will be received, irrespective the promoter – the Social Democratic Party (PSD, in ruling coalition) group, the National Liberal Party (PNL, in opposition) or the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR, in opposition).
In case proposals are in line with the National Pact for Education, we will be ready to discuss and include them in the final form of the law”, said the Premier at the end of the meeting, at Parliament Palace ,with Minister of Education Ecaterina Andronescu and the Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L, in ruling coalition) MPs.
Boc explained that, during this period, the respective ministries will discuss with all parliamentary groups and committees which have invited the Executive members to present the law drafts the Government is going to assume responsibility for next week.
According to the Premier, the Executive will „collect” all amendments, proposals and suggestions in line with the governing programme.
In her turn, Minister Andronescu said that the Education Law is an extremely important normative act, which establishes the reform measures aimed to boost performance in the system and, therefore, it is normal to stir interest.
Ecaterina Andronescu announced on Monday that, this week, she will discuss the Education Law, for which the Government will assume responsibility next week, with representatives of all parliamentary groups.
