World economic situation, discussed by PM Boc with US Ambassador to Bucharest

World economic situation was discussed on Wednesday, at Victoria Palace (Govt. headquarters), by Prime Minister Emil Boc and the Ambassador of the United States of America to Romania, Mark H. Gitenstein.

During the meeting the two officials approached the effects generated by the financial crisis upon the two states’ economy, appreciating at the same time the need to adopt some firm measures in order to revive the economy, the Government informs in a release.

In this context, Premier Boc presented the measures taken by the Romanian Government in the state reformation field, both from social angle, through the introduction of the unitary pay law in the public sector and of the national education laws, as well as from the economic angle, through giving a boost to business environment and attraction of foreign investments.
