Thus, the 6 projects launched on April 24, 2009, namely ‘European Occupational Training, – A chance for the future, Competencies for Competitiveness, Integration in the Labour Market, Rural Environment – Employment Opportunities, and ‘For a Better Life,’ were allocated 545 million euros.
The potential beneficiaries had lodged 703 projects totaling 1.83 billion euros, on Aug. 10, 2009, the deadline for emailing the applications. And the projects assessment is currently in progress.
The 14 projects launched on May 9, 2009, called A Better Education for Everybody, University for the Future, Professionals in Education and Training, Doctoral Scholarships, Post-Doctoral Programmes, Learn a Trade, The Second Chance in Education, Be an Entrepreneur, We Act Together, Quality in Occupational Services, Professionals on the Labour Market Together on the Labour Market, Equal chances and Respect, Transnational Partnership were allotted 625 billion euros, in all. Beneficiaries had lodged 1,390 projects, worth 3.65 billion euros, till Sept. 7, 2009 – the submission deadline.
The value of a strategic project ranges between 500,000 and 5,000,000 euros.
